CLIME Advisor Roberta Bonazzi and  Adjunct Fellow Ammar Al Shahbander participated in a meeting in Istanbul of Syrian pro-democracy and human rights activists.They provided an update on the latest developments in the European Union’s position toward Syria with a focus on the discussions underway about the conclusion of the EU Association Agreement with Syria. Furthermore, they provided strategic advice and guidance on how to maximize the impact of their efforts and on how to improve interaction with European decision-makers.
